Too often, a life is cut short by a workplace accident, an occupational disease, or a critical illness made worse by inadequate healthcare. This is why we fight. The battle for safer working environments, for strong health and welfare benefits, and for comprehensive healthcare coverage is at the very core of what we do. A strong union contract is the best tool we have to protect our members and their families, ensuring they have the support they need throughout their lives and the dignity they deserve in passing.
