How much are union dues?
Union dues are calculated by multiplying your hourly rate of pay by 3% + $4.
For example: $20 x 3 = $60 + $4 = $64/month for dues.
What can the Teamsters Union do for me?
Unions protect your rights and working conditions.
They allow you to have a more secure job and a comfortable lifestyle. A union allows all workers to have a voice in the workplace. A membership ensures a fair and safe working environment.
Why do I pay dues?
Teamsters is a non-profit organization. Membership dues allow Teamsters Local 927 to support and defend our over 1900 members.
What if we can’t get all coworkers to sign a petition to join because some are worried the company will find out?
All coworkers don’t need to sign the petition in order for the Labour Board to order a confidential vote. The employer is not contacted before the vote takes place.

What is a Shop Steward?
The Steward is the go-to union representative on the job site. The Steward has a number of responsibilities that they are responsible for such as onsite contract enforcement, assessing grievance procedures, keeping members informed, and educating about the union.
